In separate meetings convened in Beirut, Hezbollah's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah and Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian met with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leaders, with their primary focus centered on the evolving situation in the West Bank and the role of unified Axis of Resistance. During these meetings, Amir-Abdollahian referenced Iran's Supreme Leader's directive to arm the West Bank. Nasrallah and Amir-Abdollahian held a separate meeting to discuss recent regional developments.
On September 1, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah held a meeting with Ziad Nakhala, the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and Saleh Al-Arouri, the Deputy Head of Hamas Political Bureau, to discuss "the latest developments in Palestine and the recent upswing in resistance activities in the West Bank." During the exchange, they reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of all members within the "Axis of Resistance" to confront the "Zionist enemy." Furthermore, they underscored the importance of maintaining flawless coordination among various resistance movements. Hezbollah's communication channels actively disseminated reports from Israeli media concerning Saleh Al-Aruri, commonly known as the "architect of terror" and the one responsible for the recent upsurge in activities within the West Bank.
Following his visit to Syria, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Beirut on September 1, where he met with Nasrallah. During this encounter, the discussions encompassed political developments within Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria and the prevailing conditions within the "Axis of Resistance." Amir-Abdollahian, amidst reports suggesting that Al-Arouri is a target of Israel's security apparatus, emphatically stated, "Our support for the resistance will endure, and the equation will decisively tip in favor of the Palestinians, leading to the collapse of the Zionist regime if any resistance leader is assassinated. The resistance stands at its highest state of readiness." Al-Arouri, in an interview with the Hizballah's affiliated Al-Mayadeen threat, stated that any resumption of targeted killings could "escalate into a multi-front conflict."
Nasrallah warned, "Today, the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine is at its zenith of strength, and any miscalculated action by the Zionist forces will result in a regrettable response from the resistance." Amir-Abdollahian also briefed Nasrallah on his recent diplomatic visits to Syria and Saudi Arabia, commending Syria's reintegration into the Arab community. The two leaders delved into the "current situation in Palestine" and the multifaceted security and societal challenges unfolding within Israel.
In this context, Iran and Hezbollah continue to operate multilingual media and social networks that expeditiously translate Israeli media reports and statements. These translations predominantly feature former senior IDF officials and prime ministers critiquing what they label a "regime\judicial coup." This dissemination highlights statements concerning IDF service refusals and societal divisions within Israel. Concurrently, Hezbollah persists in broadcasting videos titled "The End of Israel," "This is Israel... Oh, my house is a spider's web," drawing substantial inspiration from Israel's internal discord, ongoing protests, the depiction of IDF vulnerabilities and weaknesses by former senior officers, and reports of declining volunteer rates within elite intelligence units and the air force.
Furthermore, on September 1, Amir-Abdollahian met in Beirut with Ziad Nakhala, PIJ Secretary General, and Saleh Al-Arouri, the Deputy Head of Hamas Political Bureau, and reiterated Iran's steadfast commitment to its strategy of "Supporting the resistance and backing Palestine's liberation "terming this strategy as a fundamental and unalterable aspect of Iran's foreign policy. The Iranian Foreign Minister also recalled Khamenei's directive to arm the West Bank.
In response, Hamas and PIJ leaders firmly asserted that there would be no retreat from the resistance's operations within the West Bank. Amir-Abdollahian commended the pivotal role played by Hamas and the PIJ, particularly highlighting the significance of forming a joint chamber involving various resistance factions during the confrontation with the IDF, with Hamas and Jihad at the forefront. In June, Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala and Hamas Politburo Chief Ismail Haniyeh met Khamenei in Tehran.
Iran and Hezbollah maintain consistent communication links with the entities constituting the Axis of Resistance, both in Syria and Lebanon, as well as in Tehran, promoting the concept of "the unity of the fronts." At the core of Iran's and Hezbollah's lies the effort to intensify the situation in the West Bank, with potential preparations for a broader confrontation encompassing all fronts.
Concurrently, their propaganda efforts underscore Israel's vulnerabilities while disseminating videos via social media that highlight the strength of Iran and Hezbollah in contrast to Israel's perceived weaknesses. This narrative also highlights the protests against the Israeli government and calls for insubordination within the IDF.
